About Me

Hi, I’m Andy, a fully qualified electrician with 25 years of hands-on experience. This business was originally founded by my dad in 1976, and I grew up from a young age always wanting to help him ‘fix’ things!

Funny enough, my dad didn’t want me to be an electrician, and actually wanted me to go to university to study music—so I did. I went to Bath Spa University, studying music while also training as an electrician on the side. Between my studies, I took electrical courses, worked hands-on with my dad, and eventually started setting up on my own down in Bath taking on small jobs. In 2005, I took over the family business and have been running it ever since.

A Personal Touch

Unlike larger companies where you never know who’s going to turn up, when you hire me, you get me—the person you spoke to, the one who understands the job from start to finish. No middlemen, no passing the work on to someone else. I believe in doing things properly, taking the time to get the job done right rather than rushing through to move on to the next one.

These days, I focus on smaller works and maintenance because I prefer quality over quantity. I’ve employed people in the past, but I’ve found that keeping things simple allows me to provide a more personal and reliable service—and that’s what my clients seem to value the most.

Outside of Work

When I’m not working, I’m still very much into music—I play both the piano and guitar, and although I studied music at university, these days it’s more of a passion than a profession. I also enjoy skiing, running, and reading, and like most people, I appreciate a good book, a great meal, and a weekend spent outdoors when I get the chance.

Beyond that, I have a keen interest in investing, which I manage alongside my electrical work. I enjoy the challenge of understanding markets, spotting opportunities, and making long-term financial decisions—something that keeps my brain engaged in a completely different way from hands-on work.
